Ceramic crown is a prosthetic dental replacement which, in its shape, colour and function completely replaces the natural crown of the tooth.
They are given in cases of extensive dental tissue loss, due to caries, and deteriorated tooth integrity due to numerous fillings.
Since a substantial dental tissue loss always occurs in treated teeth, and afterwards they often become brittle, it is recommended that ceramic crowns are always applied on such, treated (devitalized) teeth.

Root canal is the endodontic procedure performed to remove infection from the root canals so as to save the tooth.
